Sister Gracy Thombrakudy, a member of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, has worked since 2015 to support migrant workers in Kerala, India. Using her experience from northern India, she helps migrants secure proper documentation, fair wages and spiritual support. She collaborates with the Jesuits and visits workers in the evenings to build trust. Her efforts have resolved wage disputes and reunited families. She organizes Mass in Hindi and cultural celebrations. Despite challenges, including threats from contractors, she remains committed. She hopes for stronger church support and collaboration among religious groups to better serve migrants.
