This photography policy is an effort to provide a welcoming environment on the Nazareth campus, while respecting the sacred grounds as the Motherhouse and private residence of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. This policy pertains to professional photographers as well as amateur photographers acting in the role of a professional photographer. All photographers who conduct posed or commercial photography are required to obtain and carry this permit. Permits will be granted for one day.

Definition of Posed Photography: The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth define posed photography as photography of individuals such as wedding, engagement, prom, family portraits, senior portraits, or the like. Posed photography does not include visitors who wish to snap a few candid shots of their family, friends, etc. for personal use.

Two hours is the maximum stay for posed or commercial photography.

Tripods and monopods are permitted. Auxiliary lighting and props are not permitted.

Parking is permitted as directed by the Security Guard.

No public restrooms are available.

Benches, plants and signage may not be moved or altered.

Photography is not allowed inside the buildings. Individuals may pose only on walkways or grassy areas. Steps, statues, porches, planting beds, walls, ledges and railings are off limits to photographers and subjects.

The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth maintain the right to adjust these policies, in specific instances, for the best interests of the SCN Congregation and the general public.
