Kathy Hertel-Baker

Kathy Hertel-Baker

Acting Director, Heritage Center

Kathy Hertel-Baker came to Nazareth in summer of 2009 to take on the role as Archives Director, following the retirement of the previous archivist, Sister Bridget Clifford.

In July 2023, Kathy took on the new role of Acting Director of the Heritage Center upon its creation to merge the Archival Center, Visitor Center and Heritage Hall Museum under one central office.

In addition to her duties at Nazareth, Kathy previously served as President for the Archivists for the Congregations of Women Religious (ACWR). Before coming to Nazareth, Kathy served as the Archivist for the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

She is very glad to be back in the “lower-48” and to be continuing the work of caring for and promoting the legacy of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
