Today the Western Province Justice Committee presented the social justice efforts of the Province over the past five years. Witness statements along with three videos were offered to highlight Western Province efforts with environment, immigration, racism and other social justice issues.
The Central Leadership Team gave a presentation. They asked: What is the voice of God telling us as we seek to Gather the Wisdom and Weave the Dream during the next five years? What of the old is essential and what can be let go? What new approaches need to be explored in the next five years? What gifts and skills are needed in leadership that will allow such explorations? Facilitator Marge Kloos, SCN, asked “With all you have heard during the Assembly so far, what ONE word or phrase of your Province Guiding Statement are you becoming more curious about? What ONE question about that word or phrase is rising within you?”
The day concluded with a Presentation and Blessing of the Nominees: Barbara Flores, Camille Panich, Chris Beckett, Michelle Grgurich
Be assured of my prayerful support as you listen deeply to Sophia Wisdom and gather it together as you weave God’s dream for SCNs.
The days’ reflections are deeply reflective – I feel I am going through these days with you. We prayer very specially for you during our Community prayer.
May you continue to be attuned to the Spirit…
Today’s deleberations sound profound and soul searching for a better tomorrow. What of the old to be retained, what new to embrace!! Thank you sisters for the search, the questions.
The one word I have is THANKS for the last five years of your present Leadership, especially with the challenges of diminishing numbers and the Corona Pandemic. May God shower her blessings on those who have agreed to stand as nominees.
