Navjyoti Tuition Center children welcomed Mary Bridget Lakra, SCN, on June 12, 2019. They sang a Nepali welcome song and gave her a traditional Khadha and a bouquet of flowers. One of the boys gave a beautiful welcome speech. Sister Cornelia Ekka helped the children to prepare the program.
Navjyoti holds tuition classes for two groups of Urau children from Kindergarten to class six. Around 50 children regularly come to study at the center with the help of teachers.

Congratulations, Bridget Lakra, for your selfless service to the Urao children of Nepal. In a way, they are displaced people, cut off from their native home and culture. Your classes for them will bring back some sense of dignity and independence into their lives. Who knows, some might even get across the rat race of getting good jobs!! May God continue to use you as an instrument of peace and good will among the people of Nepal.
