Dr. Britta Maciuba, the driving force behind a thriving STEM program, has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth for their invaluable support throughout the past year. As the school year nears its end, the program is celebrating significant milestones and preparing for an exciting future.

The STEM program offers monthly sessions focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for elementary students. It fosters enthusiasm, diversity, and academic growth. The program is expanding to include new classes and weekly tutoring, aiming to close achievement gaps and inspire young minds.

“We’re thrilled to be wrapping up our final session on May 20th,” Dr. Maciuba shared. “The enthusiasm and joy our students have shown in each monthly session have been truly inspiring.”

The STEM program is expanding, with invitations already sent out to a new class of 30 rising third graders who will join the rising fourth-grade class next year. This expansion shows the program’s success and the commitment of its supporters.

One of the program’s standout achievements is the increasing diversity among its participants. “We’re starting to see more representation and diversity in the primary talent pool at the school, which is very exciting,” Dr. Maciuba noted.

Looking ahead, the program plans to introduce a weekly free tutoring session for students, aiming to close academic achievement gaps while continuing the popular monthly STEM sessions.

Dr. Maciuba’s message was clear: the success and growth of the STEM program would not have been possible without the support of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. “Thank you for making this opportunity possible,” she expressed with heartfelt gratitude.
