Sisters Visit with SLU Students

The SCN Center was graced with the presence, laughter and life of eight Saint Louis University undergraduate students and three faculty members this week.
The students are on an immersion experience to meet the “storytellers” of the community in Belize as part of an exploration of Belizean culture and identity. They joined the Sisters at SCN Center for supper, after which the Sisters told stories and answered questions about vocation and ministry.
The students also shared about their fields of study and interests. All had a wonderful time. The experience even sparked interest in some to carry out future service in Belize.

I had such a warm memory while reading this article. We were blessed to have the students from Loyola University stay with us at Holy Rosary School in Republic PA. They did this during their Spring break and brought such joy and excitement not only to the school children, but also to the parish. My mind is flooded with stories and memories of these days.

Blessings on the students and on the welcoming community.
