On May 22, SCNs Jacky Jesu and Michelle Grgurich attended the kickoff of the Rose Dodson Community STEM & Mentorship Program, which was hosted by Our Commonwealth, a Bardstown-based social justice non-profit group.

The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth is a sponsor of the new program, which aims to bring science, technology, engineering and math opportunities to Bardstown-area children. Monday’s introduction provided fun activities and education for those in attendance.

Support of the STEM program is one of several initiatives the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth will be unveiling in the coming months and is part of a larger investment in the local Nelson County African American community.
