After a long lockdown from March 23 to Aug. 31, St. Mary’s Preschool in Lobatse and St. Bakita Preschool in Kanye resumed educating on Sept. 1 after the completion of the requirement of the Department of Health Service and Ministry of Basic Education procedures in Botswana. The Covid-19 Committee inspected the school and gave the permit to reopen the school.

Children have their temperature checked and wash their hands with soap warm water as they enter the school. This is repeated during the course of the day. Children wear face shields and keep a social distance of one meter. Classroom tables, chairs, doors, and windows are disinfected every two hours.
