Sisters renew Vows

Congratulations to the seventeen Temporary Professed Sisters in India who renewed vows in various local communities in the month of June. Celebrations took place in the Patna and Bangalore Provinces. The annual renewal program for the Temporary Professed Sisters was cancelled due to the second surge of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The following renewed their vows:

  • SCNs Bilasi Oreya, Jyoti Tudu, and Prema Tudu at Nazareth Convent, Birsanagar in Jamshedpur, June 12, 2021
  • SCNs Asha Bage and Priyanka Murmu at Nazareth Niketan, Chatra, June 13, 2021
  • Kalpana Kerketta, SCN, at Shalom, Patna (Kurji Holy Family Hospital), June 13, 2021
  • Promila Kisku, SCN, at Nazareth Convent, Barauni, June 13, 2021 
  • SCNs Alma Salomi Kujur, Archana Beck, and Punam Saroj Kandir at Nazareth Lee, Sangsay, June 14, 2021
  • Joy Baxla, SCN, at Nazareth Bhavan, Sokho, June 15, 2021
  • Salima Ekka, SCN, at Maria Sadan, Khorimahua, June 16, 2021
  • Sweta Baskey, SCN, at Navjyoti Centre, Laukahi in Nepal, June 19, 2021
  • Swati Kujur, SCN, at Nazareth Nilaya, Kutuderi in Mahuadanr, June 21, 2021 
  • Immaculata Amita Marandi, SCN, at Nazareth Academy, Gaya, June 25, 2021

  • Alma Xaxa, SCN, at Nazareth Preranalaya, Musunuru, June 22, 2021

Basanti Lakra, SCN, reflects, “Once again we wish you the very best as you recommit yourself to the SCN way of life in community and mission. May you be faithful to the teachings of Christ, the way of Mother Catherine Spalding, and our Vincentian charism as true daughters of Charity during these uncertain times.”
