The weekend of Friday, Sept. 23 through Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Associates in Dangriga gathered for their annual retreat and commitment service.

The theme for the weekend was, “You are the face of God.” The weekend was filled with looking at the different faces of God in our world and nature, sharing of personal view of how God is seen through creative crafts, and being aware that despite our difficulties and challenges we are also seen as the face of God.

Time was also spent in reflection and prayer and filling out the SCNA commitment and recommitment forms. At the 6 p.m. mass at Sacred Heart Parish in Dangriga, three new SCNAs made commitments. Those news SCNAs are Carla Nunez, Dorris Sabal and Rachel Joseph. Other SCNAs made their recommitment and an additional person signed up to become an Associate.

The weekend was one of the family coming together to celebrate each other and see each other as the face of God. The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth thank our Associates for their continued “Yes” in service to God’s people.

It was truly a remarkable weekend for me. I spent time reflecting on my life and the faces of God I have seen in people and nature.

It’s so good to see several familiar faces, and to know that there are others who have been inspired to join. May they continue to express the care of St. Vincent to their neighbors in Dangriga.
