Today is the 50th anniversary of the Associate relationship. Associates are women and men who choose to make a public commitment to share in the spirituality and mission of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
Associates strive to grow in a Christ centered spirituality, nurture a sense of community and reach out in compassionate service in the tradition of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Louise de Marillac and Mother Catherine Spalding.
The month of September carries profound significance both for the people of Belize and for the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, especially as we celebrate our 48th year of presence in Belize, aligning with the country’s 42nd year of Independence.
42 years ago, on Sept. 21, Belize was declared free from British rule and became an independent nation.
On a beautiful Saturday morning, several members of the Presentation Academy Cross-Country team came to the Nazareth campus for a special team activity.
A lovely and inspiring prayer service! Thank you, Beth, and all who helped prepare the evening! I so enjoyed seeing folks I hadn’t seen in awhile, and trying to see faces of those I’ve never met!
