Scholarship fund update

August 21, 2019

I am sending a small thank you note to the Sisters from one of the sponsees, Kenaope, who was helped by the scholarship fund for the education of young women. I am attaching her letter, photo and her certificate she received. Now she is doing her tertiary education after doing the course which we helped her to do. Thank you – Sister Sunila.

Dear Sisters,

I Kenaope Tshetsho would like to express my sincere gratitude for your support when I was in need. I am very happy to have received sponsorship from you to study Care Givers program. Thank you for your generous financial support towards my education.

Growing up in a less privileged family has not only had financial and academic challenges but also has helped me realize the value of education. By awarding the sponsorship, I was able to concentrate on what education is best and important for me. Your financial help has allowed me to get one step closer to my goal and has inspired me to help others especially the sick by giving back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help others to achieve their goal just as you have helped me.

I have worked in Pabalelong Hospice for the past six years as Multipurpose worker and Care Giver. Taking care of the sick has touched my life and has taught me to love one another and have enjoyed working under the support and guidance of Sisters Sunila, Nalini and Vinaya. You are such a blessing to Botswana at large because if you had not come as far as where you came from, we could not have known anything about hospice. A lot of people have recovered from their illnesses. You have done a lot for the less privileged and you have changed our lives for good. No words can express how happy I am for you good people. May God bless you abundantly and may you grow more and spread far and wide.

Thank you, Good Samaritans.

Gratefully Yours,

Kenaope Tshetsho
