Water within Reach
Join us in supporting the people of Surkhet, Nepal, by providing access to safe and reliable drinking water for 400 families. Your support can make a lasting impact.
- Progress to Goal 100%
THANK YOU! With your generous support, our initial $20,000 goal has not only been met, but far exceeded! This appeal is STILL OPEN, and additional gifts will allow our Sisters to do even more.
Every dollar brings us closer to providing clean water to 400 families.
Access to clean water reduces waterborne diseases, ensuring children grow up healthy and strong. With safe water, families no longer face the daily struggle of fetching water, freeing up time for education and economic activities. This newfound time empowers women and children, offering them opportunities to learn, work, and thrive.
By supporting local agriculture and livestock, clean water sources also strengthen local economies, creating a sustainable future for all.

The Water Crisis
In the hills of Surkhet, Nepal, accessing clean water is a daily challenge for many families. Women and children often spend hours each day walking to distant water sources that are frequently contaminated. This arduous task not only risks their health but also takes away time that could be spent on education or earning a livelihood.
The Gadi Drinking Water Project
Bringing Hope and Health to 400 Families
The Gadi Drinking Water Project, led by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, aims to revolutionize water access in Surkhet. By repairing a reservoir capable of storing 90,000 liters of clean water and constructing a new 5-kilometer pipeline, we will ensure safe drinking water reaches 400 households across seven communities.
This initiative not only provides immediate relief but also fosters long-term sustainability. With government and community collaboration, the project will empower families to thrive, enabling them to focus on education, agriculture, and economic activities. Your contribution can help us achieve the $20,000 goal to make this vision a reality.
With your help:
- Households with Reliable Water 90%
- Reduction in Waterborne Diseases 80%
- Increase in Educational Opportunities 70%

For many families, the journey for water is a burden that affects their entire way of life. The water they collect is often unsafe, leading to illness and hardship. The lack of reliable water access hinders opportunities for growth and development, trapping communities in a cycle of poverty.
