Supporting Senior Health in Kenya
Join us in helping our Sisters in Kenya provide crucial health care to senior villagers.
- Progress to Goal 100%
Across 19 villages in Marereni, Kenya, the Sisters serving in the Diocese of Malindi discovered a quiet crisis: more than 250 seniors living with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and epilepsy without steady access to medication.
Many lacked IDs, pensions, or any link to the health system. Government clinics frequently run out of essential drugs, and private pharmacies charge more than most families can manage. Seniors simply stop treatment, placing them at risk for strokes, seizures, and preventable deaths.
Guided by the Gospel call to care for the vulnerable, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth have built a community-run health outreach that restores stability, dignity, and connection for elderly men and women who have been overlooked for years.
Now, they need your help to provide this crucial care to those in need.

A Healthy Life With Your Help

Funding life-saving care through community pharmacy

Francis Osui lived for years with high blood pressure and epilepsy but went months without medication. Seizures kept him from work and left him dependent on others. Through the Sisters’ support, he gained steady access to medication and regained stability in his daily life. His experience shows what consistent care can restore.
The Sisters launched a Community Pharmacy, a parish-based initiative that purchases medication in bulk through the diocesan health office and offers it at significantly reduced cost. Stored securely at the parish office and distributed at monthly support-group gatherings, the system ensures order, affordability, and transparency.

With your help:
Launching the pharmacy fully requires an initial three-month supply of medication — an investment of 32,000–40,000 Kenyan shillings, a modest cost for life-saving care.
Your gift will:
Provide full treatment regimens instead of partial prescriptions
Equip volunteers with essential training
Ensure safe storage, record-keeping, and distribution
Strengthen support groups that encourage connection and dignity
Bring affordable medication directly to the villages where seniors live
Every contribution extends the Sisters’ mission to serve the elderly with compassion, order, and respect, echoing Christ’s call in Matthew 25 to care for those most in need.

Access to Health Care Begins Here
Seniors across these villages are waiting for stable access to the medication that keeps them alive and functioning. A small investment creates a lasting impact; moving elders from crisis to confident daily living.
Your support strengthens the Sisters’ ministry, expands care for the forgotten, and brings the reassurance of Christ’s healing presence to those who need it most.
Will you help open the next three months of life-saving care for seniors in Kenya?
