Pray For Peace – Daily Action

The Sisters of Charity Federation would like you to join together as we pray for peace and an end to wars. Let us remember our Israeli, Palestinian, and Ukrainian brothers and sisters in daily prayer and pray together every Monday.

Loving God, we pray for peace to prevail over conflict, understanding to triumph over hatred, and compassion to conquer division.

Grant wisdom to leaders, so they may seek paths of reconciliation and unity. Strengthen the hearts of those who work tirelessly for peace, and comfort those who have lost loved ones in the midst of turmoil.

May your grace be felt by all who call these areas home, and may they find strength in their shared humanity to build bridges of understanding and cooperation.

We ask this through Jesus who calls us daily to be peacemakers.

Amen.

In addition to the Monday prayer as a Federation, the Justice Coalition of Religious also has a call for daily prayer for peace.

Every day at 9 a.m. (New York time), wherever you are, we invite you to join the community of Catholic Religious and their partners who work for justice through the UN system in silent prayer for peace. During this sacred silence, we will offer up our intercessions for humanity, including the many people who are suffering due to war and violent conflict and all in a position to bring an end to violence. We remember especially the people of Palestine and Israel.
