Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Pittsburgh had a special liturgy and festive meal on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, to celebrate our Patron St. Vincent De Paul. The occasion also honored six Sisters who were celebrating over 400 years of combined dedicated service to the poor in the spirit of St. Vincent..

Pictured (left to right) are SCNs Denise Hibel (65 yrs), Joanita Fedor (60 yrs), Annamarie Pavlik (75 yrs), Therese Martin Blehar (65 yrs), and Michaelette Pavlik (65 yrs). SCNs Denise, Therese Martin and Michaelette all came from the same parish of St. Francis in Graceton, Indiana County, Pa. The Sisters enjoyed the liturgy and meal and cake with all Pittsburgh Sisters and Associates in attendance.

We rejoice with the Sisters on this very special occasion of their anniversary of religious life. May the Lord in His goodness continue to bless them and bring them His peace and joy. We wish them a blessed Jubilee!

Congratulations, Sisters of Charity of Nazareth! Thank you for a lifetime of selfless service. Sister Michaelette taught me in fifth grade at St. Robert Bellarmine School in 1966. It was her extraordinary example as an excellent educator that influenced me to become a teacher. We students were blessed to have the Vincentian Sisters of Charity teach us about our Catholic faith during the formative years of our childhood. May God bless all our Sisters for their dedicated service. 💕🙏
