Sister Linda Soltis shares the following update from a celebration in Pittsburgh:

On Friday, July 9, we had a wonderful picnic celebration with the visit of Sister Lissy Tom and members of her community. For several years, Sister Lissy and Sister Vinaya Joseph lived at St. Louise Convent and worked at Vincentian Home.

Bette Nelson, SCNA, grilled the chicken, hotdogs, hamburgers and vegetables which were absolutely delicious!

We had fun catching up on the news regarding Sr. Lissy’s community (the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul) and they were surprised by all the changes that have taken place at St. Louise convent and grounds. The purpose of their visit was to take the St. Catherine Laboure statue for their new convent.

Since we share the same charity charism, we were happy to gift them with the statue.
