Painting and prayer connections

On Sunday, Sister Luke Boiarski and Sister Chris Kunze gathered with ten young women for an afternoon at Nazareth to connect and engage in a fun painting activity. The afternoon began with introductions of one another and a prayer meditation to connect with the inner and creative self. Then, artist Sister Luke led the group step-by-step as each painted an autumn scene. After three hours, the blank canvases were transformed into alive and colorful paintings. Many expressed delight and a bit of surprise over their creations and wonderment at the uniqueness of each person’s rendition of the same image. The time together concluded with a soup supper and an autumn blessing.
