Isabella Arellano, a senior at Bardstown High School, is Nazareth’s newest intern. Isabella is working with the Retreat Center as their first-ever intern. This collaboration is part of Bardstown’s work-based learning program.
Isabella came across this internship prospect through the school’s workforce development coordinator and good friend, Ava Culver, who works as an intern at Nazareth. Isabella truly knew she wanted to work at Nazareth after her interview.
“After meeting Lisa for my interview, I was convinced that this was the type of environment I wanted to work in,” Isabella said
While at Nazareth, Isabella will diligently work on running the Retreat Center’s social media page. Through her work, Isabella plans to cultivate her abilities in different software usage and social media marketing. Isabella’s current role as historian of Bardstown High School’s chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America has also allowed her to hone in on these skills.
“I’ve already started to get better at communicating with people I don’t know,” she said. “I’ve also been furthering my Canva skills.”
Growing these skills will be indispensable as she pursues becoming an agent and business manager of artists and athletes. Her initial desire to become an agent came from her joy of listening to music and attending concerts.
Isabella will spend a few hours in the afternoon of each school day at Nazareth working on the Retreat Center’s social media page. Make sure to welcome Isabella as she continues the rest of her senior year here at Nazareth. A warm welcome, Isabella!
Welcome Isabella! I hope you have a wonderful internship at the Retreat Center, working with social media. You will be part of the center’s programs that help people find understanding, peace, faith and hope.
Welcome Isabella! So good to have you here at Nazareth!
I am sure you will be a great asset to our retreat center.
