Anne Martin left her farm in New Hampshire and has been volunteering her time in Nazareth, Kentucky, since the beginning of May 2018. She attended law school in her mid-40’s and is specialized in conflict resolution and dialogue. She has been beautifying the campus, transporting sisters to and from doctor’s appointments, and working with Doors to Hope. Her hope when she arrived was to be helpful and of service within a supportive environment. Everyone on campus agrees that she has surpassed those hopes.
Anne has provided the following plant guide map to come key areas around campus. Katie Whitehurst created and drew the maps.

Unbelievably beautiful. What a joy to see the Sisters enjoying the outdoors. Ann has been a wonderful addition to our SCN family at Nazareth these past several months and will be missed when she leaves us in a few weeks from now; always to remain in our thoughts and prayers.
Heart filled gratitude!
Anne, what a gift you are…..in yourself, in your generosity, in your
stamina, in your creativity and your just plain “know how.” In addition to all the beauty you leave here at Nazareth, I think I shall
always remember your smile and your joyful laughter. I am most grateful.
Anne, Your generosity and labor in so many ways has been such a gift to all of us—and the birds that are visiting the garden spaces. The beauty you have added to the grounds will be a reminder of the beauty of yourself you have shared so generously. Thank you.
Anne, this is fantastic! What you have done AND the map! We can’t thank you enough. You gave us a wonderful gift that transformed on campus and an added gift was wonderful too: Your joyful presence and your openness to all of us and everything around here.
A BIG THANKS!
Maggie
This is a wonderful service. Watched with great admiration Anne’s work when recently I was at Nazareth. What a gift she has given with this great “map” of nature’s beauty; beauty that adds so much to the loving and generous hospitality that already is so present there in the beautiful sisters, associates and lay staff that comprise the human part of God’ creative gifts.
Thank you, Anne, for helping to make our Nazareth even more beautiful.
