As we enter the season of Lent, a time of reflection and giving, we invite you to join the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in supporting the “Inspiration Center.”
Nazareth Hospital in Mokama, India, celebrated its foundation day of 66 years on July 19, 2014. The celebration began with Mass followed by cultural program and dinner. The Sisters along with the parish community and the Jyoti Bhavan community were present for the celebration.

Nine volunteers from St. John’s Hollywood, Maryland, left for a mission trip to Belize on Sunday, March 26. This group is collaborating with Hand in Hand Ministries there to build a house for a mother and her three children. On Saturday, the team received orientation from Brenda Gonzales, SCN, and Laverne Schaefer, SCNA, after which a commissioning ceremony was held during the liturgy at St. John’s.
Sisters teach at the village school and empower women and girls by providing educational opportunities throughout seven local villages. Their commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around them is truly inspiring.
