The Nazareth Mission Committee donated a portion of its proceeds from the July 14 Silent Auction and Bake Sale to the St. Vincent de Paul Bread for Life Community Food Pantry in Bardstown. On July 26, Nazareth Campus Service Director Will Rosenbaum (pictured at right) presented a check for $1,251.75 to Bread for Life Food Pantry Manager Sandy Camargo (left).

The Bread for Life Community Food Pantry is based in Bardstown, Kentucky, and serves more than 600 local families monthly. In addition to offering a client choice store where residents can “shop” for items, the pantry also offers a mobile pantry and meal programs to seniors and homebound individuals, among other services. Camargo said the support of volunteers and donors such as the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and the Nazareth Mission Committee is greatly appreciated and goes a long way in serving those in need.

The second half of the proceeds from the July auction will go to the Nazareth Mission Committee Employee Emergency Financial Assistance Fund.
