The title of this posting explains why this it focuses on gun violence, and the renunciation of hate and a statement that “our faith requires us to be instruments of peace.” The violent deaths of these people who were just living their lives deserves prayerful attention without deflection onto another subject, no matter how important it might be.

No one would disagree with this statement. Does “violence against the human family” also include the killing of babies in the womb? I have never read any statement from the LCWR or from the SCN community concerning the 63 million abortions committed since Roe vs Wade ruling. Did I miss something?
