KHFH Bids Farewell to Sister Juliana, Welcomes New SCN Admin

On Aug. 31, 2022, the Kurji Holy Family Hospital community in Patna bid a tearful farewell to Medical Mission Sister Juliana D’Cunah as she departs from her role as administrator. Princy Mathew, SCN, is Sister Juliana’s successor as administrator.

The program began with the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Father Gregory S.J. Sister Juliana and Sister Princy joined the entrance procession with Father Gregory, and they were welcomed with the washing of hands and tika. Father Gregory, in his homily, appreciated Sister Juliana for her courageous, committed, compassionate service in the hospital and for having faced all the challenges with courage. He also wished Sister Princy blessings of God as she takes the responsibility of the hospital as the administrator. After the Eucharistic Celebration, there was a beautiful short-stage program by the staff.

In her final speech, Sister Juliana shared her experience as the administrator in KHFH, its challenges, and its growth during the past years. She also shared that she loves Bihar very much and was delighted to work among the people. After the program, all were served snacks. All the doctors. staff, and employees were present for the farewell program.

The community thanks Sister Julie for her great role as administrator in KHFH. Her presence will surely be missed.

On Sept. 1, 2022, Sister Princy was officially welcomed in the Administrator’s Office and a prayer of blessing was said by the focus group and those present. Sister Juliana welcomed her by arati and handed over the key as the symbol of handing over the responsibility of the administrator. The Sisters wish her all the very best and God’s guidance and protection as she takes up this great responsibility in the healing ministry.
