The SCN Belize house recently fostered an intercultural, intercommunity household. Sisters welcomed Sister Jolaine States, an African Canadian Sister of Charity of Halifax originally from Windsor, Nova Scotia, who joined them in Belize City. She has been assisting at St. Martin de Porres Primary School, offering counseling to children and leading workshops on trauma for teachers.

Sister Barbara Flores, SCN, a Garifuna from Dangriga, Belize, visited from Nazareth, Kentucky, to gather information for upcoming meetings. Meanwhile, Sister Higinia Bol, SCN, a Mayan Belizean, returned home from Punta Gorda and joined the others in Belize City. Sister Kerry Rowland, SCH, a Canadian originally from British Columbia, and Sister Carlette Gentle, SCN, a Creole Belizean from Belize City, were both pleased to welcome them.
