On the Feb. 2, 2024, 35 women gathered in Belbari village, Dharan, to participate in a training program by Navjyoti Centre to learn how to make different snacks items with an objective of helping them to run their small tea shops.

Sister Aisha and her team gave them the training. They learned to make cakes, potato chips, rose cakes, etc. The women were very happy to learn new items and at the end of the program, they shared what they made with the participants and all their neighbors. They not only learned to create but also how to enjoy the process.

In the village there are several small tea shops and it is an income generation for the women. Seeing their enthusiasm and interest, the team is planning to organize more such activities for the women from the villages.
