When Archivist Kelly McDaniels discovered a cassette tape with a recording of Mother Lucille, she knew that she had to find a way to share this treasure with the Congregation. If you knew Mother Lucille, do you remember the last time you heard her voice? While recuperating from an illness at Nazareth Home, Mother Lucille decided to keep busy by recording some of her story. In the video below, you can hear Mother Lucille share memories of her childhood and her years as an SCN.

Thank you so much for sharing this! Nothing is better than a living history told in Mother Lucille’s own voice of her life experiences. Who knew that she had survived the Spanish Flu! Her candid observations of her superiors were a treat!

Oh my! What a treasure. She was a dear sister that I met when I was in the Novitiate and she seemed so quiet and reserved. I enjoyed listening to her voice and the story of her of life. Thank you for posting this.
