Sister Luke and volunteers will help build a small front porch for Mrs. Norma, a kind woman longing for a place to sit outside with a friend. Volunteers will stay at a local Shriners building and share meals while preparing for the project. This is a meaningful opportunity to lift spirits, connect as a community, and spread joy by making someone’s dream come true. Interested carpentry-skilled volunteers should contact Sister Luke to join the uplifting adventure in Jackson, Kentucky.

Open Mission trip – SCN Associates are partnering with St. Vincent Missions for an Eastern Kentucky Immersion program. Participants will work on home repair projects in David, Kentucky, alongside homeowners. Accommodation is provided at the St. Vincent Mission Volunteer House with limited Wi-Fi and cell service. People of all faiths are welcome, and prayer and reflections will be shared. No specific skills are required, and collaboration with St. Vincent Mission aims to fulfill their mission of promoting Christian values and meeting basic needs for personal growth.

Our volunteer program will collaborate with Kentucky Cornerstone Ministries. The group will be assigned to work sites for home repair projects, such as interior/exterior home renovations, power washing, painting, or organizing a food pantry or mission store. You will work side-by-side with the homeowners who are capable of helping and learn about their stories.
