We have five openings for an upcoming Mission trip to Wheeling, WVA to assist in remodeling a house for young teen Mom’s and their babies. The agency we are collaborating with is Florence Crittenton, a nonprofit, that devotes time, energy and resources to young women who are either pregnant or who are raising a little one. These teens need a secure and safe environment to reside because many of them have been sexually, physically or emotionally abused.
The dates for volunteering are Monday, Nov. 8th thru Friday, Nov. 12th.
Due to the fact, that we have received many donations over the past several months the cost is only $35. Food and lodging will be provided.
It would be beneficial if volunteers had some skills in the following: *using equipment to demolish walls
*can assist in installing plaster board
*painting
*carpentry
or if you are just down right handy, we welcome you.
We will discuss transportation as time draws near.
On a personal note, I am excited about this mission trip because my sister, Roseann, has been employed by this agency for over 25 years! I have experienced her dedication and her love for the young women she has assisted over this time span.
