Appalachian Porch Raising

Join us on a journey to lift the spirits and brighten the days of another. We have the profound privilege of building a small front porch for Mrs. Norma, a kind-hearted woman whose simple dream is to sit outside with a friend and watch the world go by. Just imagine her face lighting up when she sees the new porch for the first time!
Our band of volunteers will stay at the warm and welcoming local Shriners building, where we’ll share meals and stories while preparing for our project. With your carpentry skills and passion for helping, we’ll create something meaningful together.
This is a chance to build more than a porch – it’s an opportunity to build community, connect with others, and spread joy. Won’t you join us? Lend your hands, your heart, and your talents to make someone’s dream come true.
