Camp Maria Immersion Experience

We’re heading to Camp Maria Retreat Center in Leonardtown, Maryland, for a meaningful immersion experience centered on service, reflection, community, and care for creation. Participants will have the opportunity to assist with hands-on projects throughout the grounds while learning more about the important ministry and environmental work taking place at Camp Maria.
Located along Breton Bay in Southern Maryland, Camp Maria is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth that provides a peaceful and welcoming space for prayer, hospitality, renewal, and spiritual growth. Its beautiful natural setting allows individuals and groups to step away from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with God, creation, and one another. This immersion is an opportunity to put faith into action through meaningful service while experiencing the simplicity, hospitality, and natural beauty of Camp Maria. Volunteers will work together on projects that support the retreat center and help preserve this special space for the individuals, families, and groups who visit throughout the year.
This immersion invites volunteers not only to serve, but also to slow down, reflect, build community, and deepen their connection to creation and the shared responsibility of caring for it.
Additional information, including trip cost, transportation, lodging, and service projects, will be announced as plans are finalized.
