Building Hope with St. James: Streets of Philadelphia Round 3

October 15 - October 19
$700

We’re heading back to Philadelphia for our third immersion experience, a meaningful weekend of service, learning, and community alongside St. James School and its incredible outreach ministry, The Welcome Table. Participants will get a behind-the-scenes, hands-on look at what it takes to operate this powerful community weekend event, from preparation and setup to direct engagement with neighbors and families served.

Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, The Welcome Table began as a grassroots food-sharing ministry in response to growing food insecurity and has since expanded into a full community resource hub offering food access, clothing, adult education, legal aid, wellness support, and economic mobility resources.

This immersion is an opportunity to witness relational ministry in action, learn best practices in community outreach, and experience how faith, dignity, and service intersect in transformative ways. This trip includes round-trip airfare, lodging, and basic meals.

This immersion invites volunteers not only to serve, but to learn from and walk alongside a community deeply committed to resilience, hospitality, and shared responsibility.
