Ten young women completed a three-month introductory tailoring course on Jan. 30, 2024, at Navojyoti Center Laukhi. The tailoring center is well-used by the young women from nearby houses. Tailoring is a means of income generation for women. Fr. Jacob SDB was the chief guest. Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Laukhi are involved in grassroots work to uplift the poor and the downtrodden with whom they live. Sisters of Charity of Nazareth Rashmi Toppo and Maya Anton Amolik are in Laukhi Mission.
