The Day of Consecrated Life was celebrated this year under the theme “Pilgrims of Hope.” Sister Carlette Gentle joined 36 other religious and priests at the gathering at Our Lady of Guadalupe Co-Cathedral in Belmopan, Belize, on Monday, Feb. 3.

The day began with a session on hope, followed by small group discussions centered on four questions:

  • What tends to steal your hope?
  • What gives you hope for 2025?
  • What gives you hope regarding your community and the Church?
  • What gives you eternal hope?

After the group sharing, confession was offered. Participants then took part in a short procession through the holy door of the Co-Cathedral before gathering around the altar to recite the Jubilee Day prayer.

The celebration concluded with Mass, followed by a shared meal and continued fellowship. See more photos here.
