The journey of the 75 years of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth’s presence in India and 50 years in Vasai, was celebrated with great joy and gratitude in Nazareth Convent High School, Vasai.

The celebration commenced with a prayer service followed by a tableau on the life journey of St. Vincent and Mother Catherine Spalding. The journey of the six pioneer Sisters from America to Mokama, Patna was also portrayed in the illustration. The entire tableau depicted their urge to serve the poor and their sacrifices for the mission.

The graceful Pelican dance symbolizing self-emptying sacrifice touched our hearts and souls. The culmination of the cultural celebration was a dance depicting “Pluralism,” the theme of the year 2022 -2023. A quiz and drawings that reflected the history of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth from the past 75 years in India and 50 years in Vasai were on display at the end of the celebration.
