The Catholic Women’s Association (CWA) of Gongoni Parish in Kenya recently reached out to the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, ministering in their community to show their support and care. Despite not having visited the Sisters earlier, the CWA members made sure to check on the well-being of the SCNs and asked them to share their experiences and challenges.
During the two-hour visit, the Sisters expressed their gratitude for the support they have received from the community and the CWA, especially during times of sickness. The parish decided to offer the Sisters the things offered at the Mass on the fourth Sunday of every month.
The CWA also brought some cash and provision items such as rice, flour, sugar, and vegetables and took a tour of the entire residence to assess what the Sisters might need for the house. Vinaya Chalil, who accompanies the group as a spiritual animator in the Parish, discussed how the Sisters could help them strengthen the group and deepen their faith journey.
The SCNs were overwhelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness of the women. They feel blessed to minister to the people and are grateful for the support they have received from the community. The CWA’s outreach efforts not only helped the Sisters feel appreciated and cared for but also strengthened the bond between the community and the SCNs.
This heartwarming gesture shows the power of community support and care. It demonstrates the impact of kindness and generosity and highlights the importance of reaching out to those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
You have become one with the people you serve. So they have. become one with you. Congratulations for the efforts you are making to spread the Good News of Jesus. Continue to do the good work.

It is indeed praiseworthy to observe how quickly the SCNs in Kenya have touched the hearts of the people, and in turn are blessed by the support of the Catholic Women’s Association. Keep up your inspirational efforts, Sisters.
