Series on Racism Raises Funds for Bardstown Museum

A virtual retreat series held in March not only offered three days of thought-provoking discussion around racism but also raised funds to support a local museum dedicated to celebrating the Black heritage of the Bardstown and Nelson County community.

Maryland Volunteers Head to Belize

Nine volunteers from St. John’s Hollywood, Maryland, left for a mission trip to Belize on Sunday, March 26. This group is collaborating with Hand in Hand Ministries there to build a house for a mother and her three children. On Saturday, the team received orientation from Brenda Gonzales, SCN, and Laverne Schaefer, SCNA, after which a commissioning ceremony was held during the liturgy at St. John’s.

Despite the drizzling rain on Friday, March 24, 2023, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth welcomed dozens of guests to the Motherhouse Campus in Bardstown for a highly successful Open House event.
