The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth joyfully welcomed Callen Nyaboki as the first candidate from Kenya to begin a journey of discernment with the congregation. This milestone in the history of the SCN mission in Kenya was celebrated with a prayer service Sept. 1, 2026.

t. Francis of Assisi Academy in Marereni celebrated its Annual Day on July 30, 2026, with enthusiasm and joy. The event brought parents, priests, Sisters, invited guests, teachers and students together to celebrate the children’s achievements and talents.

St. Francis of Assisi Academy in Kenya is run by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, whose mission includes care for all creation and working for a more just and peaceful world. Sister Helan Sathiya reports that students in Kenya enjoyed an educational trip to Malindi on June 4. They visited the airport, meteorological department and a wildlife center, learning about aviation, weather science and animal life. The experience also strengthened teamwork, cooperation, gratitude and friendship while creating lasting memories.
