A Commitment to Immigrants and Migrants

Inspired by Dilexi Te, the first Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Leo XIV, the Executive Committee has reaffirmed the Congregation’s enduring commitment to immigrants and migrants. Grounded in Catholic social teaching and the Vincentian spirit, a formal statement has been approved and is included here in its entirety for reflection.

Foundation Day

On Dec. 1, 2025, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and Associates pause to remember their beginning in 1812 and to give thanks for the path that has carried them to this moment. They gather with a spirit of gratitude for all that has been entrusted to them and for all that continues to unfold in the Community across Kenya, Botswana, Belize, Nepal, India, and the United States.

New Archival Center Exhibit Featuring Botswana

In honor of the Botswana Mission’s Silver Jubilee year, the Archival Center at Nazareth has installed a new exhibit on the history of SCN ministry in Botswana! It will be on display through March 2026. Stop by to say hi and see the new exhibit!

Botswana Silver Jubilee Livestream

The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth celebrated their Silver Jubilee at Thapelong Catholic Church in Kanye, Botswana. Sister Amrita Manjaly, Vice President of the Congregation, joined the celebration. The Catholic Diocese of Gaborone shared that the event marked a significant milestone. The livestream of the ceremony is available below.

Former patients of Pabalelong Hospice reunited on Oct. 2 in Gaborone, Botswana, for their annual gathering with staff. The day included prayer, reflection, games, and a shared meal. Hospice management offered gifts as the group celebrated friendship and care, expressing hope to meet again next year.
