In Botswana, Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and Associate members officially welcomed six lay-women to begin the Associate formation program, a special commitment to make a real difference in the world. They lit candles expressing their desire to fully enter the program and live out the SCN Mission in their own lives. They were given mustard seeds to symbolize the exploration, growth, and living the charism of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth as they deepen their spirituality, build community with other Associates and Sisters, and reach out in compassionate service to others in the tradition of St. Vincent de Paul, Louise de Marillac, and Catherine Spalding.
