On the last day of the Marian month of May, the Sisters of Bangalore Province came together for the Golden and Silver Jubilee celebrations and to appreciate the leadership of Amrita Manjaly, SCN, and her team for their five years of accompaniment in mission and ministry in the Province. With the courage, love and sacrifice of Mary as the inspiration of the day, the symbolic rituals in the Eucharistic celebration raised our hearts in gratitude and praise for all God’s gifts upon every member of the Province, especially on the blessings of the Jubilarians.
Recalling the joys and pains of the five years, Sister Amrita identified this period as the most engaging one of her life. The Sisters and the formees gathered in the evening to celebrate the day with fun and frolic. The creativity of every community was seen in the variety of garlands they brought to honor the dignitaries of the day.
The Province expresses its gratitude to Sister Amrita, Provincial, Sister Beena Chirackal, Vice-Provincial, and the Board members, Sister Manisha Azhakathu, Sister Mary Margaret Nirmala and Sister Jessie Saldanha. We also continue to celebrate the great missionary journey of Sister Sheela Palamoottil, the golden jubilarian, and Sister Sincy Sebastian, the silver jubilarian. We wish them more fruitful years of loving service to the people of God.
As each Province thanks its leadership teams for their hard work and dedication over the last five years, new leadership is in the process of being installed. All new leaders will have been installed by June 1.
