SCN Associate Mentors met on Thursday, January 23 for their first Learning Circle meeting of 2020. Several joined via Zoom which has been a valuable tool for connecting and building the SCN Associate Relationship. Mentors shared their excitement for the new SCN Associate Formation Process: the flexibility of the process and how it has impacted both the Mentor and Candidate. Also, this was the first time Mentors gathered for discussion after the Initial Formation Study Guide Accountability Checklist was introduced in the Fall. There are currently twelve SCN Associate Candidates in Formation.
In a Remote Belizean Village, the Spirit of St. Vincent de Paul Thrives
The village of San Vincente, located on the edge of the Guatemalan border, might appear to be an unexpected locale to find the enduring spirit of St. Vincent de Paul. Yet, it’s here that a small but vibrant Catholic Church, named in honor of the saint, stands as a symbol of his legacy.
I love the concept and think it’s a very valuable tool for ministry and endearing the SCN spirit to all Associates. Thank you~
Learning from one another can be a very rewarding and enriching experience. May it be such for all those involved.
