A Sight to See: Sisters View 2024 Solar Eclipse

Gathered together on the front lawn of the Motherhouse Monday afternoon, the Sisters were treated to a special sight: the 2024 solar eclipse. With excitement and curiosity, they watched as the moon gradually covered the sun, dimming the sky in a rare cosmic event.

It was particularly amusing to watch the campus streetlights come on as the grounds darkened under the eclipse. “The birds go quiet,” one Sister pointed out as they looked to the sky using special glasses to catch glimpses of the spectacle during brief breaks in the cloud cover.

As quickly as it came, the eclipse passed, leaving behind a feeling of awe and appreciation.
