September 1, 2025, is a particularly special Foundation Day for Belize, as it marks 50 years since the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth began their ministry in the country. Since 1975, Sisters, Associates, Volunteers, and mission partners have served in health care, education, lay ministry formation, social work, parish ministry, home construction, and more. They have answered the call to serve God’s people in countless ways.

Last September, a Mass marked the beginning of a year-long celebration leading up to the 50th anniversary of the Foundation Day. That celebration continued throughout the year. Join us in prayer and thanksgiving for a half-century of service and friendship with the people of Belize.
