The Sisters of Charity of Nazareth celebrate Foundation Day in Nepal! Ministry in Nepal began on April 18, 1979, when Sisters arrived in Kathmandu. Work in education, health services, social work, anti-trafficking initiatives and disaster response are among the Sisters’ ministries in Nepal over the last four decades.
In a Remote Belizean Village, the Spirit of St. Vincent de Paul Thrives
The village of San Vincente, located on the edge of the Guatemalan border, might appear to be an unexpected locale to find the enduring spirit of St. Vincent de Paul. Yet, it’s here that a small but vibrant Catholic Church, named in honor of the saint, stands as a symbol of his legacy.
Happy Foundation Day my sisters!
I am so enthralled when I read about all of your ministries.
So very, very proud of each one of you.
Love,
Luke
Nepal, our first foreign is colored with excitement, tragedies, unforseen challenges all the ingredients needed for a historical unfolding of the birthing of a new mission!
One important risky involvement which needed more highlighting is the setting up of a parish by a small number of scattered Catholics and the SCNs!!
